Since its first edition, PIFF has taken shape through festival editions, screenings, and collaborations across Cyprus and Greece. The events below reflect the festival’s collective practice and ongoing commitment to Palestinian cinema, cultural presence, and shared spaces for dialogue.
PIFF 3rd Edition - Across Cyprus & Greece
The 3rd edition of PIFF unfolded simultaneously across five locations in Cyprus and Greece, bringing together Palestinian cinema, discussions, workshops, music events, and collective gatherings through a decentralized network of independent cultural spaces and solidarity groups. Through films moving between documentary and fiction, this year’s programme
explored questions of memory, displacement, intimacy, resistance, and the persistence of life under ongoing fragmentation.
8 - 10 May 2026
PIFF 2nd Edition - Lemesos & Crete
The second edition of PIFF took place simultaneously in Limassol and Crete, continuing the festival’s decentralized and collective model. Screenings and discussions unfolded across locations, creating shared cultural moments rooted in Palestinian cinema, solidarity, and presence.
13 - 15 June 2025
PIFF 1st Edition - Agios Nikolaos, Crete
The first PIFF edition in Crete marked the festival’s initial expansion beyond Cyprus. Organized through collaboration with local cultural initiatives, the edition introduced Palestinian cinema into a new local context shaped by dialogue and collective organizing.

PIFF 1st Edition - Lemesos, Cyprus
The first edition of PIFF took place in Limassol, marking the moment the festival was articulated as a collective cultural practice. Built through collaboration, care, and shared responsibility, this edition laid the foundations for PIFF’s values and future editions.

Palestinian Cinema Days Around the World
2 November 2025
PIFF joined the ‘Palestinian Cinema Days’, a global cultural protest initiated by FilmLab Palestine, transforming cinema into a collective act of resistance and solidarity. Screenings took place in Limassol (CY) and in Chania and Agios Nikolaus (CRETE, GR), on the anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, alongside hundreds of parallel events worldwide.
The programme featured When I Saw You by Annemarie Jacir, presented through collaborations with local cultural initiatives across Cyprus and Crete, including the Limassol Cinema Club, the Lab for Animation Research CUT, the Chania Cultural Center, Catis Studio, and the Anti-Racist Festival of Agios Nikolaos.
Through these simultaneous screenings, PIFF joined a worldwide network reclaiming Palestinian images and narratives, affirming cinema as a space for presence, memory, and collective resistance.

Screening of 'The Tower'
9 December 2025 · Tersefanou (Larnaca District)
As part of the TELL ME (I7KEELI) series, PIFF Lemesos collaborated with United for Palestine – Larnaca on the screening of The Tower (dir. Mats Grorud), an animated film exploring intergenerational memory and life in a Palestinian refugee camp. The screening was followed by an open discussion with the audience. The event was supported by ISSA Construction & Development.

Limassol International Documentary Film Festival
1 August 2025 · Limassol
In collaboration with the International Documentary Film Festival of Limassol, PIFF took part in the festival’s opening night, which centered Palestine for the second consecutive year. The screening of Coexistence, My Ass! was accompanied by a poetry reading featuring texts by Palestinian poets Rafeef Ziadah and Mosab Abu Toha, read in Cypriot by Belinda Papavasiliou and Marios pavlou as a gesture of shared memory, resistance, and transnational solidarity. -

June–July 2024
PIFF supported an initiative ‘Palestine on Screen’ by Genocide Free Cyprus (GFC) by providing Palestinian films for a series of screenings across multiple cities in Cyprus, focusing on the Palestinian struggle.

Screening of Farha
13 May 2024
In collaboration with United for Palestine – Larnaca. The screening of Farha by Darin J. Sallam marked the anniversary of the 1948 dispossession of Palestinians (15th May). The screening created a space for remembrance and reflection, connecting historical rupture with lived experience through Palestinian cinema.
